VOTE SoAR: CEP ID RECRUITMENT
What Is a Community Experience Panelist?
The people who live alongside Arkansas's rivers, fields, and floodplains understand their communities better than any outside expert ever could. That's why VOTE SoAR created the Community Experience Panel: a group of local residents whose voices, knowledge, and perspective directly inform how flooding, water quality, energy affordability, and environmental health are addressed across Southwest and Southeast Arkansas.
As a Community Experience Panelist (CEP), you're not just a participant. You're a decision-maker.
WHAT A CEP DOES
A CEP Is a Community Member Who:
- Shares their firsthand knowledge of local environmental and civic challenges
- Reviews and gives feedback on research, programs, and proposed solutions
- Participates in community conversations, charrettes, planning sessions, and trainings
- Helps connect VOTE SoAR's work to the people who need it most
- Shapes how resources, advocacy, and expertise are focused in your region
No degree required. No prior experience needed. Just your voice, your perspective, and your commitment to your community.
WHAT TO EXPECT
What to Expect
CEPs are invited to participate in:
- Community input sessions: In person or virtual, held throughout the year
- Feedback reviews: Share your reaction to research findings, program designs, and policy ideas
- Occasional field activities: Community walkthroughs, site visits, and data-gathering events
- Regional gatherings: Connecting with neighbors from across Southwest and Southeast Arkansas
Your time is respected. We work with your schedule and offer incentives for CEP participation.
WHY YOUR COLLABORATION MATTERS
Why Your Collaboration Matters
Decisions on water infrastructure, flood maps, energy costs, and land use need community collaboration. CEPs make sure that local lived experiences shape the decisions.
Local knowledge plus expert knowledge equals real solutions.
